Hello!
I've got the most gorgeous polish ever to show you tonight! This is Paradise (a.k.a Obsession, IDK why it has two names!) by Polish Me Silly, an American Indie company. I've wanted Minty Madness, a white-to-mint thermal from Polish Me Silly for months, and when it came back into stock on Rainbow Connection, I decided to treat myself and get it. To make the postage worth it I also picked up this polish, which I'd recently seen swatches of and loved.
It's a multi-chrome, which means it looks different colours from different angles. I've got a few duochrome polishes but none are ANYTHING like this beauty. Apologies for the pic-spam but I just couldn't stop taking photos - if you check my instagram I also posted a really short video of the different colours when I tilted my nails.
This is two easy coats of Paradise over a base of black (as the polish was a bit sheer on it's own)

Freckles Polish New Collection
Hello!
Today I've got a special post to share - I have two new polishes from Freckles Polish to give you a sneak preview of. Both of these polishes are from a new collection to be released on August 1st, and the collection is called "A Typical British Summer" - very clever! Freckles Polish is an Indie polish brand, meaning all these polishes are hand-made.
The first polish I have to share is called Wellies Or Flip flops? which to be honest is the dilemma I've been facing for the past week - what do you wear on your feet when it's forecast to be very hot, with thunderstorms?!
This polish is a lovely bright blue shade with a scattering of different sized purple glitter, with the fab addition of some butterflies!
In these swatches I applied three coats with no base coat. I had to do a little fishing to catch those butterflies and place them on my nails, but this is normal with big glitter pieces. The smaller glitters came out very generously!
I loved this shade of blue, and the butterflies! I think next time I use it though I will use a similar blue as a base coat, then just use one coat of this polish, as some of the glitters/butterflies in the first coat got all covered up as I added more coats!
The second polish I have to show you is an absolute beauty and I love it! It's called Strawberries and Cream (yum!) and is a pale milky-pink base with tiny red glitter (squares and circles) medium red hexes and big red circles. There's also a scattering of tiny blue "lines" that really make this polish unique. I'm not usually a fan of this "line/bar" glitter, but in this polish it just seems perfect, and there's just the right amount.
Here's the pictures, look at those amazing big red circle glitters! Looooooove
I love pale pink polishes with a funky mix of glitter, so this one is absolutely perfect for me!
If you want a nosy at the other new polishes that are going to be released as part of this collection, check out Freckles Polish Facebook page, and also follow them on Instagram and Twitter for more sneak-peeks and updates.
The collection will be released on the 1st of August and you will be able to purchase them here on Etsy. Also, check out the polishes already for sale in the Freckles Polish store, they're so pretty, especially the holographic ones!

BFF Friday: Stud Crazy
Hello! Time for another edition of BFF Friday, where myself and Laura of Naileymabob pick a theme and both create a mani. Laura picked the theme this week and it was Stud Crazy which I thought was fab!
I took inspiration from Polish All The Nails who creates all sorts of crazy detailed manis using stud/glitter placement, with whole nails being covered in studs like in the example I've linked to above. I tied this idea in with my new polish from Pretty Quirky which is called Milky Joe and created a stud-filled accent nail to match the polish.
After I uploaded the pics I realised I had neon yellow polish (which I used to fill in the gaps where studs wouldn't fit; the base shade was originally white!) all over my stud finger which kind of ruins the look - it wasn't really visible in normal light, and I'd already taken these off before I checked the pics - rubbish! So - sorry about the mess!
On the whole I'm pretty disappointed with my interpretation of this theme, I've definitely done better crazy stud nails in the past and I think I should have gone for something like this again!
I do love Milky Joe though, I used two coats with a bit of placement needed over a base coat of white. I love all those neon pieces! <3 You can buy Pretty Quirky polish here!
You can find details and more pics of the mani Naileymabob did here - definitely have a look, I adore this mani especially the triangles of studs and that fab accent nail - that was more the look I should have gone for!

Deva - Pretty Quirky
Hello!
I've got such a pretty polish to show off today! This is Deva by Pretty Quirky which is a UK indie polish brand. Last week I treated myself to two polishes I'd seen swatches of and loved, and I was also lucky enough to receive a free mini polish of my choice as I was in the first 10 people to order after these new polishes were released. I bought Deva and Milky Joe, and got Village Idiot extra! <3
I decided to apply Deva first as I thought it was more work-appropriate. I started off with two coats of Rose Hip (pale pink) by Barry M. I then applied two easy coats of Deva. This polish applies like a dream, it's a perfect consistency and the glitter lies so flat and smooth against the nail, it's not big and bumpy like in some other glitter polishes I own.
In this mani I also used my new Nails Inc base and topcoat that I won in Grazia's Manicure Monday, and I was impressed with them. The base coat is thick so smooths out the nail but still dries quickly. The topcoat has a lovely shine and dries quickly, but doesn't feel as completely dry/hard in a short amount of time as my Insta-Dri. I also used the cuticle oil I received, which smells lovely!
Here's some more pics of Deva, sorry there are loads but it was so pretty I couldn't stop taking them! I adore the mix of big/small/different sized glitters and the red/pink shades. It's just so gorgeous!

Freckles Polish - Gypsy Lucky Heather
Hello!
Showing off another of my purchases from Freckles Polish today. This one is called Gypsy Lucky Heather which I think is a great name, and it's the one I knew I definitely wanted when I saw which polishes had been released. This is a lilac base with different sized glitter in red, blue and purple and big silver circles. So unique!
With the previous Freckles Polish I tried, I layered one coat over a similar shade. This time I thought I'd try just using two coats of the polish with no base. I also added a matte topcoat in these pics (forgot to take a pic of it shiny, argh!)
I still love this polish, especially the purple colour, it's gorgeous and I got some nice comments about it at work! I think if I wore it again though, I'd go back to my method of applying just one coat over a similar base shade - the purple is sooo opaque (which I like!) that a second coat completely covered up the glitters in the first coat and ended up looking a bit thick/gritty in places. I think I'd actually like this polish even more without the big circles - but that's just my personal view, and I do love big circle glitters, I just think they got a bit concealed in this polish. I loooooved the shade of purple next to the red, blue and purple little glitters though. Stunning!!

Freckles Polish - Just As You Are
Hello! Today I have a pretty polish to show you from new UK Indie brand, Freckles Polish. When I first began to see pics of swatches of the polishes that were going to be released, I liked them immediately! I resisted getting any as I already have way too many polishes, but when I saw that Julieann (who runs Freckles Polish) was going to be selling mini bottles for £3.50, I convinced myself I needed to buy some!
I picked three, this one here which is called Just As You Are, and also a blue and a purple both with glitter. I'll be showing them off soon! Just As You are is a lovely grey base, with lots of different sized glitter and hearts in both pink and silver/grey. Such a pretty mixture!
I applied one coat of this over a base of grey polish in a similar colour (Dorien Grey by Sally Hansen). I'm not sure I needed the base shade as this is quite opaque, but I really hate being able to see my nails through any polish so went with the grey base just to be sure! I finished off with a topcoat of Gelous. Here's some pics!
I wore it like this last night and all today, but managed to scuff them at work, so I added a matte topcoat to smooth them out again but to add a different finish. I don't usually go for matte topcoat over glitter, but I think this actually looks really good!
The polish applied beautifully, and all of Julieann's polishes are stunning - really pretty, interesting colour/glitter combos. Check out her Etsy shop here!

BFF Friday: Indie & an Accent
Hello!
Today is BFF Friday with Naileymabob and this theme was decided by me. We were both to pick one Indie polish to use in a manicure. We would then add one (or two, as we decided earlier today!) accent nails that complement/match the indie polish. As usual, we don't discuss specific ideas, we just agree on the theme, then come up with a manicure each. As I write this I've no idea what Naileymabob has come up with, can't wait to see!
Earlier this week I was in Tescos, and I accidentally just bought two of the new Barry M Gellys! I totally don't need them, but they were so pretty I couldn't resist, especially at 2 for £6. I loved the pale minty green, but I have a shade practically the same that's really good (Pepperminty by Ciate) so left that one on the shelf, and picked up Rose Hip (pale pink) and Huckleberry (pale blue). I used them as the base for this manicure - in fact, I wore them on their own this morning at work, before I added the indie! They have such a lovely finish after three coats - compared to the hypergels though they're quite watery in consistency, but doesn't change the finished look!
For my BFF mani, the Indie I picked to use was Sparkler by Nail Lacquer UK. I've loved this polish ever since I bought it, but don't wear it enough! I picked it for this manicure as I thought the colours matched with the gelly (which I didn't want to take off after one day!) really well. I applied Sparkler on my thumb, middle finger and little finger over the pink gelly polish. The other two I left plain - my index finger was pink, and my ring finger was blue from my earlier manicure. To fit with the brief of adding accent nail(s) that matched the polish, I added pastel blue and pastel pink studs, to match the glitter in the polish (okay I know the glitter in the polish is actually bright pink/blue but I thought brighter studs wouldn't go with the 'pastel' look of the whole manicure!!)
Here's the outcome - to say I just decided on this a few hours ago and haven't had it planned for ages, I think it's turned out well - I really like it! I'm hoping I can wear this to work tomorrow and just hide my hands, haha.
And a few quick pics of my plainer gelly mani before I added anything, I really love these colours, and the finish! Especially the blue, which I didn't expect to love so much <3
